Take four talented musicians born in four different decades to two Welsh families and you have Mabon, a band rapidly gaining a reputation for taking traditional Welsh & Celtic music in an original and innovative direction.
Having played last year at several major celtic festivals, Mabon were booked again for many this year, including the L'orient Interceltic Festival in Brittany, Lowneder Peran in Cornwall, Yn Chruinnacht in the Isle of Mann; and Welsh Festivals in Pontardawe, Dolgellau and Tredegar House, Newport. Some of these were cancelled during a bad year all round for festival cancellations. But the boys have strenthened their reputation werever they have played. They certainly played a superb set at the Little Big One back in August, and I'm very pleased to welcome them to Miskin. Another band with a new CD just out so why not spoil yourself, it'll soon be Christmas !!
