From the Mabinogion

The 'Mabinogi' is one of the earliest known written collections of Welsh story.

This is an unusual new telling of "The Tale of Branwen", with incidental music for the guitar by Phil using musical styles from the ancient to the ‘avant garde’ . The story is one of contrast and conflict, of love, jealousy, battle and loss, woven with magic and allusion to the ‘other world’......

Eirwen says...

“Hearing the story as a child I could not understand the mercurial behaviour of these inconsistent adults. Now, with more experience of life, I can give meaning to some of the strange events...the others remain simply magical!”

Please note that this will be an evening performance of a single story lasting about 45 minutes. A tale which is, at times, dark and sinister. Although not a children’s story, older children may appreciate it.
