Kathannie
Annie Ingham and Kath Allsop
Annie from Portsmouth and Kath from Newport,
met in 1997 at the Miskin Reunion Weekend. (I wasn't pretentious
enough to call it a festival in those days.) As there were some
Bretons present, Kath and Annie decided to "have a go"
at "Plaisir D'Amour"(have
a listen). It seemed to work and from this Kathannie was born.
They kept in contact worked on their material and the next year
at Miskin, they were the first winners of the Harry
Prigg Memorial Trophy. Well deserving winners, their rendition
of Loving Hannah (Listen?)
made the hair curl and the tears flow in many a strong man that
day ! They have been strong supporters of all thing Miskin, both
together and in their solo mode. They've had a couple of year off
but it's great to welcome them back.
The sound snippets on this
page come from their CD " Discovery.
